International Fair

Tonight's the International Fair and I am so freaked out. Me and Ariele are bringing Filipino foods. She is bringing Pansit and I am bringing rice cake. Pansit is a type of Filipino noodle thing that has vegitables, and some meat in it. Rice cake has rice in it and this coconut thing on top. I know what both of them taste like, and they taste great.

Here's a picture of Pansit. I couldn't find one of rice cake, but whatever.

SATs and OLSATs

I just finished taking my OLSAT (Otis-Lennon Student Ability Test) and it was pretty easy. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than the SAT but no. It was kinda like those brain ticklers on Tickle.com.

I think I did pretty well on my SAT. I was really long and got boring sometimes but I managed to get through. We had to do them on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and then our OLSAT today, which is Friday.

I'm ALMOST done with my Julie of the Wolves brochure, all I need to do is finish typing down my thoughts, and how it is related to my life.

Volcanoes

Now we are studying about volcanoes and how islands were formed.

We are also looking up stuff about different countries for the International Fair. Each of us have to pick a country and we have to make a booth on the country. We are in groups so I'm relieved. Phew... There are 6 people in the Asia group, the group that I'm in. We have Dean, Dylan, Ariele, Lela, Teresa and I in the Asia group. We chose to have to have 3 people do Taiwan/China and 3 people do the Philippines. Dylan, Teresa, and Lela are doing Taiwan/China and Dean, Ariele, and I are doing the Philippines.

I found this cool site that lets you see volcano eruptions... sorta... Click HERE.

Gotta blast!

Finished

I have now finished reading Julie of the Wolves. I thought it was a pretty good book, with a weird ending that is. I liked the book because it was full of adventure and friendship. I think in my next post I will write a book report on it, because that's one of the reasons Mr. Hatcher made us all start these blogs.

When my group (more like "Quinn's Group", since he's group leader) is finished reading Julie of the Wolves we have to make a brochure with three pages. The first page will have some of the names the characters in the book and a short description of them, the second will include a summary of the book, and the third will includ your personal thoughts on the book.

Teresa and Kim are already done with their brochure on Pippi in the South Sea. So I think I will go take a look at it on Moday, since today is Saturday, ya know.

Jello the Wolf...

I'm still working on my cell PowerPoint project ad think I need about 4 or 5 more slides.

Hmmm.... Quinn just left me a comment. It was really short. Why do I always get the really short boring ones? Ah well, I'll just leave it.

I'm now on page 125 in Julie of the Wolves and Jello (that cute wolf down there) was killed by Amaroq because he left the pack and became an outcast, so then, Amaroq tore him to shreds.

Let me show you:

AAANNNDDD....

Mmmm... Looks yummy huh? Nah, just joking... yuck.

It's almost recess and I think I'm going wrap up this post.

Stuff

Right now we are doing some stuff about cells and genetics. I am looking at some information about cells and am making a PowerPoint about cells. I also have to do a report on the Ukulele.

Our class is in the computer lab right now and we are looking up information about cells, ukuleles, and posting and commenting on each others blogs.

I have read up to page 90 in Julie of the Wolves. Now, the book is talking about Miyax when she was younger. The wolves have left Miyax and then she remembers when her mom dies and the feeling of lonelyness. Armand and I were ahead of the group before 'cause we reading 30 pages when we were only supposed to read 15. Now, I think all of us are on the same page.

Dancing

Well, on Friday the preschool teacher, Ms. Leti was teaching the girls how to dance so that we will be able to put on a good show at the art festival in April. Ms. Leti's brother -I don't know his name- was teaching the boys how to dance. None of that weird ballroom dancing, though. Phew... All though, Quinn is envious of those ballroom dancers... wonder why...

Oh well, I still need to read 15 more pages in Julie of the wolves then I'll be on page 90.
